The Gift of Home 2017 Christmas Home Tour

I'm learning lots of Christmas songs for this Friday's Gift of Home luncheon!! (Is 4 songs considered a "lot"? ha!) This is a great event -- with the general admission you get to check out 4 decked-out homes in Longmont, plus lunch either Friday or Saturday. (There's also a VIP option where you can dine at your choice of Longmont's best restaurants, but those are filling up fast).

Kick off the Christmas season with The Gift of Home Christmas Home Tour, a fundraiser for Longmont Meals on Wheels! The Gift of Home is a self-guided tour of four beautifully decorated homes, running December 1st and 2nd, with a VIP night on November 30th. Decorations will be available for purchase.

Join us November 30th from 5-9pm for our VIP night. VIP ticket includes dinner at one of seven local restaurants and an opportunity to view the homes that evening or through Saturday. Or joins us on our general admission days, December 1st, 10am-7pm and December 2nd, 9am-3pm. VIP tickets are $40 per person, and General Admission tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. All tickets can be purchased online or at Longmont’s Ace Hardware, Front Range Mercantile, Longmont's Woodley's Fine Furniture, Niwot Market and Longmont Meals on Wheels.

The Gift of Home Tour includes so much more. Longmont Meals on Wheels will host a luncheon (included with ticket price) on Friday and Saturday 11a.m. – 2p.m. Attendees can also expect a super-silent auction during the Gift of Home luncheon and online.

BrewHop Trolley will run between the senior center and two of the houses on Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 9am-12noon.

The Gift of Home Tour is a benefit for Longmont Meals on Wheels, a Longmont Charity that provides meals and wellness visits to seniors, people with disabilities and people returning from a hospital stay.

Annabelle

This is a free streamable/downloadable MP3 of "Annabelle", the song I wrote in memory of 14 year old Annabelle Pomeroy and the 25 other victims of gunfire in a Sutherland Springs TX church earlier this month. Thanks for listening and sharing, I think this one is important.

In memory and honor of Annabelle Pomeroy and all the victims of the Sutherand Springs shooting, and all children affected by gun violence.

This song, Annabelle, has been really hard for me to write -- it started as a quick-write for our local songwriters circle, where I tried to bust something out in an hour to then be critiqued by the group. The circle gave me some great feedback and critiques, but it's been hard for me to go back and work on it -- I literally start crying. So today, 10 days later, I spent the morning rewriting it, and crying, and spent the last hour trying to record it without crying. *Trying*
